KCMBA recognizes the 2022 Fellows of the Bar and the Sustaining Members for their generous contributions to the Association. Fellowship is the highest level of membership at KCMBA. T.J. is the founding member of Preuss | Foster Law. Early in his career, T.J. defended doctors and hospitals, before his practice evolved into repres- enting plaintiffs in catastrophic injury and wrongful death actions. T.J. spent a decade prosecuting nation-wide complex pharmaceutical and medical device cases, which was the catalyst for opening Preuss | Foster in 2017. There, T.J. turned his focus towards our local community, helping victims of vehicular negligence, professional malpractice and product liability. T.J. has obtained favorable results representing plaintiffs in medi- cal malpractice, civil rights, nursing home negligence, pharmaceutical and medical device liability and individual product liability actions. Jill Kanatzar is a partner with Dollar, Burns & Becker. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame School of Law in 1994, she served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Jackson County, prosecuting adult sex crimes and crimes perpetrated against children. She now represents victims injured by abuse and neglect in institutional settings including nursing homes, schools, and group homes. The Supreme Court of Missouri has appointed Jill to a Regional Disciplinary Committee and its Advisory Committee. Founded in 1979, The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It was first founded as the charitable arm of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA).

The mission of the Foundation is to serve the community by creating and supporting public service or educational programs which promote the administration of justice, delivery of legal services, professional development or respect for the law.
