BENCH-BAR & BOARDROOM CONFERENCE

The Bench-Bar & Boardroom Conference (BBBC) is a three-day conference held in May, with an average annual attendance of 350 lawyers and judges. BBBC is a unique opportunity for our members to gain CLE credit, network, and enjoy the company of their colleagues at a relaxing lakeside setting. With the opportunity to gain prospective business and deepen connections with KCMBA members, the Bench-Bar & Boardroom Conference is a favorite among vendors.

YLS GOLF TOURNAMENT

The YLS Golf Tournament is held each year in June at the Hillcrest Golf Club in Kansas City, MO. The tournament is the largest fundraiser for YLS and plays host to nearly 75 participants.

LIBERTY & JUSTICE GALA

The Liberty & Justice Gala is the largest fundraiser for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation. Proceeds benefit local organizations supported by the Foundation. The event is held in September and is well attended by our most active members and supporters.

ANNUAL MEETING

The Annual Meeting is held each year in December at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. With nearly 1,000 attendees, this is KCMBA’s largest event. The Annual Meeting offers Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsorship levels, which come with added benefits such as advertising and marketing promotion pre- and post-event.

KCMBA MONTHLY SOCIALS

KCMBA socials are held each month by the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) at various locations across Kansas City. With average attendance of around 150 lawyers (300 for the annual October social at Boulevard Brewing Company!), socials are a fun networking opportunity for both lawyers and vendors.

HEARTLAND DIVERSITY LEGAL JOB FAIR

The goal of the HDLJF is to increase the participation of under-represented groups in the practice of law in Kansas City. Students from over 150 law schools across the country converge on Kansas City to be interviewed by locals firms in order to increase diversity in the legal profession.
