The KCMBA Appellate Practice Committee is pleased to present the Annual David Prager Appellate Institute, featuring timely insights from experienced appellate judges and practitioners on developments shaping modern appellate advocacy. In addition to foundational appellate topics including finality, standards of review, and appellate decision making, this year’s program will place special focus on the growing role of artificial intelligence in appellate practice. Attendees will explore practical uses of generative and non-generative AI tools, as well as the ethical implications, risks, and best practices attorneys should consider when incorporating AI into their appellate work.
